Wow is it ever dusty in…Oh, Hi!

I couldn’t see you through the mess in here! I’m so glad you dropped by but do wish you’d have waited until I have it all neat and cleaned up around here.

As I’m sure you can see, I am in the midst of an identity crisis…I mean, restructuring! You see, I’ve been thinking a lotlately about how far my business has come, where I want it to go, how I want it to grow and exactly what it is that I can do for my clients and prospects. I have spent the last couple of months investing in me and my business and searching all of North America for the perfect team to support me.

So far, I must say that we are off to an excellent start. I love the new fresh, clean look of the website and have plans for some new sections, a resource page, updates, and more. My team will also continue to grow to ensure that I am able to meet the needs of all my clients and can provide them with the absolute best quality for their needs.

Ok, that’s enough of a break for me. I have work to do! Could you hand me that hammer over there?…

Basic Training

Happy Thursday!

Lately I have found that most of my clients need some serious help in getting back to the basics. With the booming economy going on just a few short years ago, many of these businesses grew quickly. Then, when the bubble burst, everyone panicked and started cleaning house, literally and figuratively.

During this time systems and procedures (unfortunately like many employees) were cast aside in the effort to save on time and money. Now that things are picking back up and the business world is getting back on its feet, clients are finding that they need those systems back in place. But, things have gotten so crazy and out of place that it’s impossible to just pick back up where they left off.

So, I have devised a new Basic Training program. Utilizing new web-based programs (most of them free!) along with some old, most companies can achieve a system that meets their needs and keeps everything on track.

Anyone who knows me knows that I am addicted to my Kindle. Rarely do I leave the house without my Kindle and it is always beside me on my desk. I utilize this amazing tool for pleasure reading as well as books that will help me with my business. My love of reading is what has brought me to offering services specifically geared toward authors. I know that writers are some of the most underappreciated and undercompensated people out there, and the costs of promotional materials for a book can be exorbitant. My goal is to offer those services at an affordable price and try to share ways that authors can promote themselves and their books with minimal cost. One such way has come to my attention as of late through my Kindle.

While a wonderful sales tool, several authors are finding the Kindle to be a great promotional tool as well. By offering one or two of their older titles for free through Kindle, they are increasing sales of their newer titles and gaining tons of recognition. Many free titles, especially good ones, quickly move to the top of the Kindle Bestsellers list. Case in point – Terri Blackstock.

I have been a Terri Blackstock fan for about 4 years now. Her Christian fiction novels are filled with action and emotion. Ms. Blackstock is increasing exposure to her books by offering two of them on for free. “Cape Refuge” and “Southern Storm” are numbers 1 and 2 on the Kindle Bestseller list and, through the end of January, they are free for download to Kindle, Kindle PC and the Kindle app for iPhone.

If you are a writer looking for fast exposure for an upcoming title you should discuss this option with your publisher. It may just push you to the top of the list!
